ButlerB Terms of Service

Effective date: 9 August 2026

Provider: Vijay Uba (“we”, “us”) — contact: admin@butlerb.com

ButlerB is a meal-planning app for households: recipes, weekly plans, shopping lists, a pantry, and optional social features for sharing what you cook. These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use it.

1. Your account

You must be 16 or older to create an account, and the information you sign up with must be yours. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell us if you believe it has been compromised. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account — deletion is immediate and covers your data, as described in the privacy policy.

2. Your content

Recipes you write, photos you take, plans and lists you build are yours. You give us only the licence we need to run the app for you: to store your content, process it to provide the features you use (including the AI features described in the privacy policy), and show it to the people you choose through the sharing controls. We claim no other rights, we do not use your content for advertising, and the licence ends when you delete the content or your account. One exception, and only if you ask for it: when you delete your account you can choose to leave to ButlerB Kitchen the public recipes you marked as your own writing. Those recipes then stay published under our account, marked as contributed by a former member and with your name removed, and the licence continues for them alone. Recipes you marked as adapted from someone else, or taken from a source, are not included — the credit they carry is not ours to rewrite — and are deleted with the rest. Nothing else is kept, and the switch is off unless you turn it on.

If you import a recipe from elsewhere, keep its source: imports store their source link, and you are responsible for having the right to import what you import. Content shared to other users must be yours to share.

Groups. A group is a room of people who chose to be there: members see each other’s names and the recipes posted in the room. Posting a recipe to a group is your act, subject to the same rule — your own recipe, or a public one, and if you imported it, yours to share. Members can open a posted recipe only while the post stands; a post is removed when you remove it, when you leave, or when the group ends. A group’s owner and admins decide who joins. If a group has a join link, asking through it shows your name to those managers and nothing else. ButlerB Kitchen is a group we run: you join it only by your own tap, its member list is never shown, and only we post there.

3. Acceptable use

Don’t use ButlerB to:

Shared photos pass an automatic safety screen before anyone sees them, and any user can report content or an account. We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules — a suspended account keeps its rights to access and delete its own data.

4. Food, allergies, and AI — a real-world caution

ButlerB helps you plan around allergies, diets and health conditions, and some of its output is generated by AI. It is a planning aid, not medical advice, and AI output can be wrong: recipes may mislabel ingredients, nutrition estimates are estimates, and an allergy filter is only as good as the data behind it. Always check labels and ingredients yourself where a mistake would matter — for a severe allergy, that means every time.

5. The service

We provide ButlerB as it is, work to keep it available and safe, and keep improving it — features may change as it evolves. Some features depend on third parties (stores, AI providers, notification delivery) and may be unavailable when those are. To the extent Swedish law permits, we are not liable for indirect damages or for losses caused by content, third-party services, or your reliance on AI output contrary to section 4; nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

6. Ending things

You can stop using ButlerB and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break section 3, and may discontinue the service with reasonable notice — in which case you keep the right to export your data first (see the privacy policy, “Your rights”).

7. Changes and law

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll notify you in the app before the change takes effect. These terms are governed by Swedish law; disputes belong to the Swedish courts, and nothing here limits protections you have as a consumer.
